Hipped pantile roof with modillion cornice. 5 windows, hung sashes with glazing
bars in shallow reveals with flat arches, brick voussoirs. Doorway up stone
steps has eared architrave surround, large console brackets, broken segmental
pediment. Back wing of 2 storeys with semi-circular bow. The birthplace of
Sir Halford J Mackinder, the geographer, 1861-1947.
