South side of Churchyard Roman Wall by churchyard, C4. A length of the south
wall of the Roman town at Caistor. 15 feet long and standing about I0 feet
high, of limestone rubble with massive irregular foundation
blocks and layers of herringbone core above fixed by layers of
poured mortar. Facing robbed; wall at least 5 feet thick at this
point. Scheduled as an Ancient Monument.
