shed at Alford Mill

Range of 4 pigsties and engine shed. c.1840. Yellow brick with
monopitch pantile roof. Single storey, 4 bay front with 4 small
openings at ground level having segmental heads. Attached to the
pigsties is a taller gabled shed which originally contained an
engine, powered by town gas, to drive the mill when there was
insufficient wind. Included for group value only.
