Hotel. 1802, with minor C20 alterations. Squared limestone
rubble with ashlar dressings. Collyweston slate roof with stone
coped gables, 2 gable and single ridge stone stacks with
cornices. Parallel range plan. 2 storey with attics, 4 bay
front having first floor cill band, moulded cornice and plain
parapet. Off-centre basket arch with imposts and stepped
keyblocks, now having recessed C20 glazed screen. To left a
single tripartite glazing bar sash, to right 2 similar windows.
To first floor are 4 further similar windows, all having ashlar
lintels and stepped keyblocks. At the centre of the parapet is a
pedimented square panel inscribed JMA 1802. In the roof are 4
gabled dormers with dentillated cornices and rendered cheeks.
Stick baluster stair to interior.
