8/57 Chestnut Farmhouse

II

Cottage. Late C18. Red brick, pantile roof with brick coped
gables and 2 brick gable stacks. L-plan. Single storey plus
attics, 3 bay front with brick dentillated eaves. Central 2
panel door with overlight, flanked by single plain sashes. In
the roof are 2 gabled dormer glazing bar sash windows with brick
cheeks and boarded heads. Above the door a fire insurance
plaque. 4 bay rear service range with 2 doors and 2 glazing bar
sashes. All openings have brick segmental arches.
