11/27 The Vicarage

Vicarage. c.1872, possibly by E Browning. Red brick, ashlar dressings, slate
roofs, decorative clay ridge tiles, bargeboards, 2 gable and 2 ridge stacks
with arched panelled sides. 2 storey, 3 bay front, central bay advanced and
gabled. Dentillated string course. Central 2 tall narrow sashes with to left
glazed double doors and plain overlight. To right a 4 panelled door with a
cross in the ashlar tympanum. To first floor a rectangular bay window
containing 2 plain sashes has a coved cornice and hipped roof. To left a
single sash. All openings have chamfered flat ashlar lintels with scalloped
upper edges. Included for group value only.
