Cottage formerly incorporating smithy. Probably originally C17 to C18 but much
restored. Render over ironstone rubble with thatched roof. 1½ storeyed, a long
low plan of 8 bays. To the left 3 bays project with garage, the former smithy.
Central 2-light casement and recessed doorway. 4-light casement window in dormer
above. Doorway in thatched porch to right of main range, casements windows of
2 and 3-lights to its left, end of French window. Three upper 3-light casement
windows in eye-brow dormers. Gable and axial stacks. Represents encroachment
on former market place. Included for group value.
