Country house. Probably 1792, and on C17 foundations. Red brick with stone
plinth, rusticated stone quoins and dressings and Welsh slate hipped roof
with various brick ridge stacks. Band, cornice and parapet. 2 storeys of
5 6/6 sash windows. Stone lintels with keystones. Side windows are set in
wide giant blind arches with segmental heads. Central 1st floor window has
stone frame with pilasters and entablature. Below is a flat-topped rectangular
porch with 2 Roman Doric columns, entablature, and blocking course. 2-leaved
part-glazed door within. 2 storey wing to rear right. Stone walls and blocked
stone mullion window in cellar. Pevsner and V.C.H., Vol. V.
