The Old Rectory

House. c1840, probably with earlier origins. Cemented elevations, probably
of brick, and Welsh slate roof with stone ridge and end stacks. Stone coped
gables. In classical style with rusticated ground floor, moulded eaves and
slightly projecting pedimented section at either end of front. 2 storeys
of 5 6/6 sash windows in painted moulded frames. On ground floor, from left,
tripartite 2/2 : 6/6 : 2/2 sash, porch, 2 6/6 sashes and similar tripartite
sash. The porch is rectangular, flat-topped and has 2 square columns and
pilasters at the wall, all with Composite capitals. Entablature and blocking
course over. Cornice and blocking course continue across front as raised -
band. Within porch a 2-leaved part-glazed door. On right end a large 1 storey
flat-topped porch and 2 storey wing projecting to rear. 3 3-light centre-opening
casements.
