GV II

Workhouse, now house row. Late C18 or early C19. Red brick in Flemish
bond. First floor of rear wall tile-hung. Plain tile roof. Double depth.
2 storeys. Dentilled brick eaves cornice. Central 2-storey canted brick bay
with plain tile roof, and cornice carried round it. 4 filleted brick ridge
stacks, one to each end and one to each side of central bay. Regular 5-
window front of 2-light multi-paned casements; two to each side and one to
centre of bay. One blocked window to each canted side of bay. Ground-floor
windows with segmental heads. Boarded door to No. 3 with segmental head to
centre of bay, behind later brick porch with round-headed outer opening.
Similar door and porch to left gable end to No. 5. Half-glazed door to No. 1
in single-storey addition to right gable end. Rear doors to Nos. 2 and 4.
Interior not inspected.
