Farmhouse. Early C17. Timber framed with plaster infilling.
Plain tile roof. L-plan. Main range of 4 timber-framed bays
of uneven length. Short right return wing . 2 storeys and
garret on stone plinth. Close studded. Left gable formerly
jettied on shaped brackets, but now cut back. Multiple
brick stack in narrow bay second from right. Irregular
fenestration of 3 leaded mullioned and transomed windows;
one 8-light to centre of each end bay; 2-storey rectangular
bay to long second timber-framed bay from left, with 10-light
window to each floor, and with blocked frieze windows to either
side on first floor. Blocked window to centre of stack bay.
Ground floor has 8-light window to left end bay, 10-light to
right end bay, and 3-light ovolo-moulded mullion frieze
window to right of bay window. Ribbed door to left end of
second bay from left, with 3-light ovolo-moulded mullion
window over. Short rear wing to right, with rear gable close-
studded and jettied to first floor and attic on shaped
brackets. Interior: only partly inspected. Staircase with
octagonal newel behind stack. Exposed framing. Edge-halved
scarf joint.
