Public House. Late C16 with early C20 facade. Timber framed,
pebbledashed, with plain tile roof. Main range with wings projecting
forwards slightly to right and left. 2 storeys and cellar on painted
plinth. Wings formerly jettied, right jetty returning. Hipped roof.
Right wing hipped to front. C20 shaped brackets and plain bargeboards
to gable of left wing and gable over central window of main range.
Multiple brick stack in front slope of roof towards left end and
slender projecting stack to right. Irregular fenestration of five C20
casements; one 4-light and one 2-light to left wing, one central 3-light
and one 2-light to main range, and one 3-light to right wing. Half
glazed door in C20 four-centred arched moulded stone architrave to
right end of main range and half-glazed door under canopy beneath
stack. Later timber-framed rear wings. Rear lean-to. Interior:
only partly inspected. Ovolo-moulded beams to left and central
ground-floor rooms. Inglenook fireplace.
