Barn, now house. C17 and C19 additions, converted to house in 1970s.
Timber-framed, with exposed studding and rendered infilling. West
elevation weatherboarded. Plain tile roof. 3 timber-framed bays,
formerly with central midstrey. 2 storeys, on part brick, part,
ragstone plinth. East (rear) elevation: tension braces to each end
bay and three studs to central bay on first floor, central stud
to each end bay on ground floor. Tension braces to first floor
of gable ends. Some later studding with straight bracing. Steeply-
pitched hipped roof, with gablet to south end. Late C20 brick ridge
stack towards south end. Irregular fenestration of 3 pairs of two-
light leaded casements. Central boarded door. West elevation:
single-storey gabled and weatherboarded C19 additon running west
from north end bay. C19 weatherboarded lean-to to south end bay,
formerly returned along south gable end. Late C20 brick lean-to
to rest of elevation, with boarded door towards centre. Interior:
exposed framing. Gunstock-jowled posts. Chamfered arch-braced
tie beams. Clasped purlin roof with diminishing principal rafters;
cambered collars without queen struts, ogee windbraces to midstrey
bay and intermediate collar to north end bay. Threshing-floor braces
with horizontal boarding to north side, vertical to south.
Accrington Nori brick to floor of north west addition.
