Probably C16 in origin. Painted brick to earlier timber frame; two storeys plus attic. Front has a slightly advanced gabled wing; at each side; three modern windows overall; stone chimney projects on returned side to Newhall Street with later brick stack; modern scalloped barge-boards to gables; tiles; modern shop fronts. Original roof truss end some framing exposed internally.
No 71 to 79 (odd) and National Westminster form a group
