Public house. Early C17, late C17 front, late C19 cross-wing to left. Limestone
base; red brick with grey brick headers in Flemish bond; old plain-tile roof;
brick ridge stack to right of centre. 2-storey, 5-window range. 4-panel door
with overlight to left of centre. 4-panel with overlight and hood on carved
brackets to centre. Wooden cross-windows with cambered brick heads to all
openings. Brick band between ground and first floor. Dentil cornice to eaves.
Rear: large timber-framing with brick infill. Double queen-post truss to
cross-gable to left. Extensive beaming and open fireplace to rear left. Late C19
cross-wing to left: coursed squared limestone to ground floor; tile-hanginq,
including fishscale bands to first floor. Jettied first floor to end.
