GV II


Farmhouse, now house. C17, early C19 right bay. Originally timber-framed:
colourwashed render and brick; right bay of colourwashed chalk rubble with brick
dressings. Gabled C20 tile roof; brick ridge originally end stack. 2- extended
to 3-unit plan. 2 storeys; 3-window range. C19 four-panelled door set in beaded
architrave flanked by segmental arches over 2-light casements with shutters:
similar casements above and to right bay. Early C19 sash in left gable wall. Mid
C20 rear and right extensions. Interior: chamfered and stopped beams; winder
stairs in projection to rear of stack. 2-bay queen-post roof with clasped
purlins.
