Willow Vale House: built before 1741 (deeds). Extension wing (The Willows) built
1816 by John Olive (a dyer). Coursed rubble, overall cornice and parapet. Willow
Vale House is 2 storeys, 5 windows, sashed in raised architraves, portico with
flat entablature on 2 Roman Doric columns, panelled door. The Willow has 3 large
sashes to 1st floor and wrought-iron window guards. New door and window to ground
floor; partly brick and timber mid-C19 extension to rear. Pitched path in front.
Interior: the stairs have straight string, turned balusters and heavy handrail
(newels modern), they appear to have been moved to present position (possibly 1816).
Ground floor rooms of Willow Vale House have 1816 reeded architraves.
