Ruin of former gatehouse. Circa 1500. Doulting rubble and dressed stone. Base of moulded and chamfered remains, now
forming gate piers one metre 50 centimetres high. Low wall with flat coping running for 9 metres to right, higher wall
running 3 metres to left, incorporates such reused stone. Further wall running at right angles to rear of left pier
incorporating pair of pointed arch headed door openings in deeply chamfered stone surrounds. Adjacent to rear opening
further moulded and chamfered base of arch, cast iron hinge bracket set into side. Group value.
