Baptist Chapel, attached schoolroom, forecourt wall with railings, gate piers and gates. Dated 1839. Random rubble to chapel and schoolroom, frontages of render scribed in imitation of ashlar, rusticated ashlar quoins, slate roofs; that
to chapel with ridge at right angles to gabled facade with coping, painted plaque to centre:- "Baptist Chapel 1839"; circular zinc ventilation cupola. Plain apperance. To left schoolroom of single storey, one bay; chapel 2 storey frontage, 2 bays; all window opening in plain semi-circular headed surrounds of stone; sash windows with glazing bars forming a radiating pattern at each head. Chapel has central ashlar gabled porch, segmental headed door opening; 9-panelled inner door with latch mechanism. Schoolroom door of 4 panels in plain stone surround. Galleried interior features panelled pulpit on plinth reached by 3 steps to right, ramped hand rail on plain balusters, turned nevel posts. Gallery frontage of 7-panels with a moulded handrail overall, integral pens; stands on twin square wooden columns flanking central aisle, recessed panel to each face. Plain cast iron railings with slightly twisted finials to forecourt set on low ashlar plinth; 2 gates in similar style; 3 ashlar piers with pyramidal cappings.
