Pair of attached cottages. Early C19. Coursed and squared rubble, slate roofs, 2 brick ridge stacks. Both in similar
style. 2 storeys, 2:3 bays, casements with glazing bars to first floor; number 57 with 2 pairs of small 12-pane sash
windows to ground floor, number 59 with a single late C19 glazing-bar casement under a wooden lintol. Plain stone door
opening to left, 6-panelled door, top 2 panels glazed; stone jambs to door opening to right, wooden lintol, late C19
four-panelled door.
