Well head, set into retaining wall below Halsway Mews (qv). C15 stonework, reset late C19. Red sandstone, coursed and squared, about 3 metres high. Almost square headed opening, deeply moulded architrave with stops and hoodmould. Recess with inserted two order chamfered relieving arch set above stone water trough. Square panel with quatrefoil containing shield. Stonework probably taken from Halsway Manor (qv) when it was largely rebuilt late C19.
