Village school. 1846 extended 1894. Ham stone coursed rubble, Welsh slate roof between stepped coped
gables, with sawn stone ridge; brick chimnney stack; open timberwork bell turret with pyramidal lead roof. Single-storey
6 bays east elevation. Pairs plain lancet windows with horizontal-bar inserts; bay 5 is a projecting porch with
shouldered-arched doorway in south side, lancet and pointed-arch doorway in north, and quatrefoil east window with
pair slit vents above; also a shield plaque reading "Ash Church of England School 1846"; south gable has 2 lancets,
north gable has 3 lancets with old clock face and gable vent. Interior not seen. (VCH Vol IV, 1978).
