Boundary wall and gateway. C18. Red brick with Ham stone dressings. Walling in Flemish bond, with thin angled stone
copings, about 1.5 metre high; opposite doorway to Ashford House (q.v.) a pair of ashlar gate piers about 2.5 metres
high, square plan; cornice caps; steps, neck and ball finials; C20 timber gate in rather wide opening: the whole adds
greatly to the setting of Ashford House and to the streetscene generally in this small hamlet.
