Detached farmhouse. Earlier C19. Ham stone ashlar facade, rubble to sides and rear; Welsh slate roof between stepped
coped gables, to shallow pitch; brick end chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays. Sash windows of 16 panes in plain
openings with voussoired flat-arched heads; to lower bay 2 a 6-panelled door under 4-unit rectangular fanlight in plain
opening, with flat stone hood an heavy console brackets over; against west gable a single-storey leanto, and on east
gable a 2-storey extension, set lower, with 2-light casement windows: long extension to rear. Interior not seen. About
4 metres south of house the boundary wall, in red brick Flemish bond about 1 metre high, with stone ashlar plinth and
thin coping, having curved return at west end back to house; opposite entrance door 2 small square stone gatepiers with
moulded bell-hip caps, with 2 steps between, no gate, all adding to the setting of the farmhouse and the streetscene in
the centre of the village. By 185l this was the largest farm in the village. (VCH, Vol III, 1974).
