Dovecote. Probably C17. Local stone rubble; plain clay tile conical roof
on 2 base courses of stone slates: raised central turret with timber
arcade having domical top and weathervane; circular plan, 4 buttresses
with offsets; low door on North side, with segmental arch head.
Accommodates approximately 500 birds: still in use, February 1983.
Probably part of the Grange estate attached to Muchelney Abbey, and now
part of an important group with the Rectory (qv) and Tithe barn (qv).
