House in row, now restaurant. C17 or earlier. Local lias stone roughly squared and coursed, with painted stone
dressings; clay pantiles with abutment to west, stepped coped gable to east; brick end and intermediate chimney stacks.
Two storeys with attic, 3 wide bays. Mostly ovolo-mould mullioned windows; 3 light with square labels to upper bay 2
and to coped attic gables bays 1 and 3; 4 light with sidelights to angled oriel bays of upper bays 1 and 3 with plain
corbelled bases, string courses to head and hipped stone slate roofs; string course at cill level both sides of bay 1
oriel continued into mid bay 2; below modern small pane casement left of bay 1 under timber lintol, with 6-panel C17
pattern door to right, also with timber lintol; pairs of 16-pane windows bay 2 and 12-pane windows bay 3 under shared
label mould; between upper bays 1 and 2 projecting hanging sign on wrot iron bracket. To rear, stair turret enclosing
circular timber stair, with timber framed windows, one ovolo mould, one hollow chamfered remainder of north elevation
much altered in C20. Interior has stop and runout chamfer moulded beams at both major floor levels, and 'A' frame roof
trusses: features include early C17 dado panelling and corner cupboard to ground floor and a C17 door to private
quarters; otherwise interior considerably reshaped in C20.
