Detached house. Dated 1877. Local lias stone cut and squared, Ham stone dressings; Welsh slate roof between stepped
coped gables; stone end chimney stacks. In a C15 style with French details. Two storeys with attic, 5 bays. Hollow
chamfer mullioned windows of 3 lights under square labels with foliated stops to all but bay 3 both levels; to bay 3 a
pointed segmental-arched moulded doorway under square label with foliated spandrils; above timberwork and plaster
panelled oriel window with French style hipped turret roof - matched by a similar turret at rear:- dormer windows with
slated roofs and ornamental tiled cheeks to all but centre bay. On north gable a matching single-storey extension with
less elaborate doorway to left and matching window to right, with dormer above: further outbuilding northwards with
pantiled roof, having datestone set in a blocked window opening. Interior not seen. Two metres from house, with return
at north end, a random coursed lias stone wall with Ham stone coping surmounted by cast iron twist rails with twist
standards having ball finials; central matching gate with Ham stone panelled piers having gabletted tops, all adding to
setting of house.
