Detached house, formerly with shop. C17 origin, modified and extended C18/C19. Ham stone cut and squared; thatched roof
between stepped coped gables; brick end chimney stacks. 'L'-plan; 2 storeys, 2 bays, with 2-bay extension. Small-pane
3-light casement windows, with a 4-light to upper bay 2, the lower windows with timber lintols: signs of blocked
doorway between lower windows: extension has Ludlow pattern concrete-tiled roof to shallow pitch, with stepped coped
south gable; 3-light matching casement to upper bay 1, and below a part-glazed C19 door with timber architrave and flat
timber hood on wrought-iron brackets: to bay 2 a shop front of two 16-pane windows with blocked doorway between, part
filled with window, slim side pilasters, plain fascia over: lean-to against south gable. Rear extension to match,
projecting at north-east corner of main block, with casement window at both levels: further projection from centre of
rear elevation having stepped coped gable, gabletted finial and segmental-arched casement windows. Interior not seen,
but reported are chamfered beams of probable early C17 date, and indications of original gable entry plan. (VAG Report,
