House. Early C19. Red brick with plain tile roofs. Three storeys with
2-storey wing. Dentil brick eaves cornice and parapeted gable ends with
sandstone copings and moulded stone kneelers. Integral brick end stack
to left. Two-window front to left; 4-pane sashes with moulded boxes and
painted stone cills and lintels. Central door with three lower beaded flush
panels and two upper moulded panels, and wooden doorcase consisting of fluted
pilasters, entablature and triangular pediment. Three C19 brick and
stone steps. Two-storey addition (see straight joint) to right with
stone-coped parapet, truncated external brick end stack, and single tripartite
glazing bar sash on each floor with painted sandstone cill and lintel.
Parallel gabled range at rear with external brick end stack to right.
Blocked attic window in left-hand gable end. INTERIOR: early C19 dog-
leg staircase with closed string, rectangular-section stick balusters,
ramped handrail, and square newel posts. Depressed archway at foot of
stairs with moulded architrave and panelled reveals and soffit.
