Barn. Late C17 with later alterations. Weatherboarded timber frame
with concrete blocks to gable end of south range; corrugated iron roof.
L-plan comprising long west range with short range projecting to east on
south. 2 levels. West range has 4 doorways, right with double doors and
first from right with stable door; 2 eaves hatches. South range has wide
entrance to right with eaves hatch and stable door to left. Interior.
Framing visible: square and rectangular panels, 2 from cill to wall-plate
with long straight tension braces to timber framed partitions in west range.
Short straight braces from wall posts to wall-plate. Single-purlin roof in
4 bays with raking struts from tie beams to principal rafters to west range
and in 3 unequal bays with queen-strut trusses to south range. Loft to 2
north bays of west range and continuous loft to south range. South range
may formerly have extended further to east.
