5/82 Main gateway and gates to
- Condover Hall

GV I

Gateway. Circa 1598. Pink sandstone ashlar. Round-headed gateway with
raised bracketed keystone; scrolled achievement above moulded capping with
small pediment to top, 4 decorated obelisks to sides above richly carved
brackets, coat-of-arms with lion rampant to front and back; low flanking
walls with prominent scrolled brackets abutting gateway terminate in square
corner piers, surmounted by carved lions and double-headed eagles. C19
wrought iron gates with fleur-de-lys finials.
