Farmhouse. Probably C17 or earlier, re-faced mid-C18 with later additions
and alterations. Roughcast probably concealing timber frame and brick, plain
tile roofs with raised tile verges and moulded parapet to front. L-shape
to front, facade being a re-facing of an earlier building, with a long lower
range, probably also timber framed, projecting from angle to rear. 2 storeys
and gable-lit attic, floor bands; 2-window front, glazing bar sashes;
entrance in right return, 6-panel door (top panels glazed) under C20 gabled
wooden porch; prominent central stack re-built in mid-C20 red brick behind
ridge to front. Lower range to rear has 3 late C19 casements to ground floor
and 2 gabled eaves dormers, later lean-to with C20 casement against back
wall. Interior: inspection not possible at time of re-survey (1985), but
likely to be of interest.
