Court Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C18 with late C17 wing at rear. Coursed grey/yellow
sandstone rubble with plain tile roof. L-plan. 2 storeys, and wing
of one storey with gable-lit attic. Integral brick end stacks; integral
brick lateral stack to rear wing with projecting bread oven. 3 bays;
2- and 3-light wooden casements; central door with 4 flush panels,
3-part rectangular overlight, and C19 rustic gabled timber porch.
Gable end of rear wing has 4-light chamfered wooden mullioned attic
window with leaded casements (left-hand pair blocked with brick) and
returned hoodmould, 2-light chamfered wooden mullioned ground-floor
window to right (right-hand light blocked with stone) with returned
hoodmould, and boarded door to left. Interior: front range with chamfered
beams and ground-floor left-hand room (possibly former kitchen) has
large open fireplace with chamfered lintel; large reused chamfered
ceiling beams in end room of rear wing.
