7/97 Heathcote Farmhouse and
- adjoining garden wall

Farmhouse. Mid- to late C18. Painted brick with rendered dressings; plain
tile roof. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic; 3 storeys at rear. Rendered
quoins, plat band,moulded dentil brick eaves cornice and parapeted gable ends
with moulded stone kneelers and copings. External brick end stacks and
integral lateral brick stack at rear. 2-window front; 16-pane glazing bar
sashes with exposed boxes, rendered dressings and rendered rusticated lintels
with raised keystones. Central C19 four-panelled door (lower panels flush)
with impost band, rectangular overlight, panelled reveals and soffit, and
moulded architrave (evidence for former frieze and cornice, missing at time
of survey March 1986). Rear: eaves raised. 3 storeys. 3 windows; segment-
al-headed leaded wooden cross windows. Service wing adjoining to right. One
storey and attic. 2 large gabled eaves dormers, with 3-light C20 casements.
2 ground-floor 3-light casements flanking central boarded door. Interior of
house not inspected. C18 garden wall adjoining at right angles to left.
Red brick with stone coping. Buttresses.
