House, latterly 2 cottages, now one house. C17 with later additions
and alterations. Timber framed with painted brick infill on rendered
plinth, plain tile half-hipped roof. Originally 3 framed bays, left-
hand bay partly truncated and re-built in mid-C19 reddish brown brick
to side and rear; the roof is apparently also of this date. One
storey and gable-lit attic; framing: square panels, 3 from cill to
wall-plate, long straight tension braces; late C19 cast-iron patterned
casements to left and right of C19 boarded door to left of centre,
small fixed-light larder window to right; central reddish brown
brick ridge stack with integral end stack to truncated left-hand bay.
2-storey mid-C19 brick addition to rear partly painted black and white
in imitation of timber frame. Interior: timber frame substantially
intact, chamfered ceiling beams with heavy joists.
