Farmhouse. Partly C17 or earlier, re-modelled and extended mid-C18
with later additions and alterations. Red brick, probably concealing
timber frame to earlier part, plain tile roofs with crow-step gables.
Earliest part probably the low 2-bay range to which a taller roughly
T-shaped range was added in mid-C18. One storey and attic to C17 part,
two storeys and attic to C18 part; C17 part has one 3-light mid-C19
casement with segmental head to either side of central ledged door
under open gabled porch, plat band above and mid-C19 gabled dormers in
roof slope to left and right of tall central ridge stack: C18 part
has 2-bay north front, mid-C19 casements with segmental heads and late
C19 canted bay window to lower left, two late C19 gabled eaves dormers;
end stacks to left and right, latter axial and at junction with lower
service block, the west gable end of which has been re-built in late
C19 brown brick; left gable end of north front has pigeon nesting holes
and ledges. Interior: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
