Barn and cowhouse. Mid-and late C17 with later alterations. Timber
framed, partly with rendered and concrete block infill to barn, mainly
weatherboarded on rubblestone plinth; slate roofs (part graded).
Barn. Framing: square panels, 3 from cill to wall-plate with doorways
to left, right and centre. Vehicle bay to east links barn with cowhouse.
Weatherboarded with doorways to centre and right. Interior: barn has
double-purlin roof in 3 bays with queen-strut trusses. Formerly with
loft. Framing visible to cowhouse: square panels, 3 from cill to wall
plate with long straight tension braces, renewed and altered to east bay.
Single-purlin roof in 3 bays with mixture of queen-strut and queen-post
trusses. Stone-flag floor. In process of repair at time of resurvey
(September 1986).
