4/2 The Moat Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Circa 1840. Dressed limestone (coursed rubble at rear)
with sandstone ashlar dressings; deep eaves to low-pitched hipped
slate roof. 2 storeys. Plinth; brick ridge stacks off-centre to
left and right. 3 bays, glazing bar sashes with returned hoodmoulds.
Central half-glazed door with 6 lights above and 4 flush-panels below,
diamond-glazed rectangular overlight; porch with plinth, cornice,
blocking course stepped up in centre, and 2 steps to entrance with
Tuscan columns in antis and round arch with hoodmould (a rather rustic
effect). 2-bay south-east front with segmental-headed windows.
