Farmhouse. Probably C15 with C19 and C20 alterations and additions.
Rendered timber frame, uncoursed rubble plinth and refaced end walls,
rendered brick additions to rear, and graded slate roof. Former 2-framed
bay open hall with screens passage, 2 framed bay low end and one framed bay
high end. 2 storeys with gable-lit attic. Framing: square panels. Stack off-
centre to left off-ridge to front. Stack to left at rear and end stack to C20
wing. 4-window front; 3 first floor C19 casements to right and glazing bar
sash to left; early C19 ground floor glazing bar sash to left, and C20 bowed
casement off-centre to right. Half-glazed door with gabled porch off-centre to
left between first and second windows from left, and C19 boarded door to right
with 3-light overlight. Exposed queen strut truss in right-hand gable end.
Interior: queen strut roof trusses with V-struts above, trenched double purlins,
windbraces, and smoke blackening in hall and screens bays; hall has central
jointed-cruck truss with continuous chamfer, arch bracing to collar with
V-struts above, and Alcock apex type E. Inserted stack and ground floor fire-
