1280. Stone. Fluted headless shaft with square plinth on octagonal 4-stepped
stylobate. Modern inscribed bronze plaque records that the cross was set up
1280 in memory of Roger de Pyvilesdon and hence known as "Pulestone Cross"
and that it was probably mutilated during the Civil War. AM.
