listed as Church Cottage)
II
House, formerly a pair of cottages. Early C19. Regularly
coursed squared coal measures sandstone with plain gables, and a
central ridge brick stack. Stone slated roof. East elevation.
Two storeys, two bays, each bay with stacked 2-light chamfer
mullioned windows in plain stone frames. Small paned window
frames with gothic intersecting tracery to heads. Doorways to
each gable end, each with stone frames and deep lintels below
shallow bracketed canopies. Doorways are now blocked to form
window openings, both with two pane sash windows. Originally
with small offshuts to rear, the cottages have now been adopted
and extended to form one dwelling.
