Single bay open hall dwelling of c.1460; alterations to solar c.1500. L-shaped
timber-framed house with plaster infilling and curved braces on 1st floor,
except tile-hung west wing. Ground floor later rebuilt in red brick and under-
built. Tiled gabled roof; north end re-roofed in modern times. 2 storeys,
3-window front. Casement windows. Porch to left with sloping tiled roof.
Small pentice addition on north side of west wing. Interior: Fireplace inserted
during first half of C17. Single crown-post remains inside roof; rafters show
evidence of soot. Joists from roughly trimmed boughs.
