Houses, with stone slab fences to front. Chapel House is late C18-early C19, of
coursed rubble limestone with stone slate roof and flanking brick chimneys. 2
storeys, 2 bays. 2-light barred wooden casements with stone wedge lintels, the
ground floor right window originally wider but now with inserted brick jamb.
Central C20 4-panelled door in rendered surround, with stone hood in form of
open pediment on shaped scroll brackets. Tiny attic window in left gable.
Demarca, attached to right, is late C18 but much refurbished C20. Also of
coursed rubble limestone with stone slate roof and flanking rubble stone
chimneys. 2 storeys, 3 bays. C20 2 and 3-light wooden casements with horizontal
glazing bars and concrete lintels. C20 half-glazed door and left window are
enclosed by C20 glazed lean-to porch. Projecting to left is a small rubble stone
lean-to with C20 single light to front. Front gardens of both houses are
enclosed, except on east side, by early C19 fences of large rectangular
limestone slabs, set in upright position to height of c.one metre.
