Shown on O.S. map as The Limes and The Limes Cottage.
Farmhouse, now house. Probably late C18 with early C19 rear range and some
mid-C19 remodelling. Uncoursed limestone rubble with alternating angle quoins;
stone slate roof with deep verges and C19 purlin ends. L-plan comprising main
range with early C19 addition to rear on left. 2 storeys and attic. 3 windows,
early C20 three-light casements (2-light to centre on first floor) in C18
openings. Central C20 glazed door and gabled dormers in roof slope to left and
right. Internal end stacks with dripstones and red brick shafts.Interior.
Repositioned staircase in stone-flagged entrance hall has bobbin balusters and
newels. Left ground-floor room has moulded plaster spine beam and inglenook
fireplace with chamfered wooden lintel. Moulded plaster cornice and chamfered
spine beam in right room. First floor has moulded plaster cornice to landing.
C19 roof trusses in attic.
