NW of Lowlands Farmhouse
GV II
Barn, stables and granary. Early/mid C18. Coursed squared limestone;
corrugated-asbestos roofs. L-shaped group. 4-bay barn has a shallow porch to
right of centre, and to rear has opposed full-height doors below a segmental
arch; side and end walls have slit vents. 2-storey stable range extends forwards
from the right and has segmental-arched openings at ground floor; first-floor
granary has a gable opening. Interior: both ranges have butt-purl in roofs
carried on trusses with tie beams and collars; most of the rafters survive.
