House. Circa 1913 by Walter Cave, for Mrs. Asquith; possibly incorporating some
earlier structure. Red brick, with random grey brick, in English bond; old
plain-tile hipped roof; brick internal stacks to rear. 2 storeys and attic;
5-window range, centre bay projects and is of 3 storeys. C20 panelled door to
right return of centre bay, with flat hood on brackets. Irregular fenestration
of wood casements and wood mullion and transom windows, all having leaded
lights. Recessed quoining to corners of centre bay and to ends of 5-bay range. 2
hipped full dormers to left and right with 2-light casements. 2-storey, single
bay wings to left and right with parapetted flat roofs. Interior not inspected.
