House. C16 or earlier possible open hall house of which No 20 was the
cross wing. Exterior roughcast, probably over stone rubble to ground
floor and timber framed to 1st floor. Old tiled roof with end right
chimneystack. 2 storeys 1 window. C19 casements and plank door.
Internally the roof appears to have smoke blackened rafters.
Queenpost roof with 2 sets of purlins and curved windbraces. Large
rafters without ridgepiece. Ground floor has open fireplace and
massive spine beam with 3 inch chamfer. C.1600 blocked door surround
originally leading to crosswing which is now No20.
