Row of 4 cottages. c.1800. Coursed marlstone and limestone rubble with some
ashlar dressings: concrete plain-tile roof with brick ridge stacks. Single-unit
plans with small rear wings, 2 storeys. Front of each cottage has a doorway
below an arched metal canopy beside a 3-light casement, all with segmental
arches, and has two 3-light casements at first floor with wooden lintels.
Passageway in centre of row has semi-circular ashlar arch with projecting
keyblock. Each pair of cottages shares a ridge stack and the cables have added
parapets. Rear has 2 single-storey wings with gable parapets and 2 wings which
have probably been raised. Interiors not inspected. Included for group value.
