Early C19 Gothic, by Sir Robert Smirke. 2 storeys. Ashlar. Centre porch with
Tudor arch with label and carved headstops and castellated gable, a centre bay
window above flanked by octagonal turrets and castellated. At each side of porch
is a Gothic bay window with quatrefoils and castellations. Moulded string between
floors. Cobbled courtyard with roughcast 2-storeyed buildings, coach-house with
clock in aedile on brackets, and courtyard wall ending in a round turret. Perpendicular
3-light stair window.
