House, c.1840, of gault brick and colourwashed brick with slate roof. Double
pile house of 2 storeys with 2 lower 2 storey wing to east and single storey
lean-to wing to north. Entrance facade 3 bays of shallow recessed panels.
Central part glazed 7 panel entrance door with reeded moulding. Fanlight with
glazing bars. Timber porch with Doric columns, pilasters, entablature and
cornice. West facade 5 bays. Central French casements with fanlight. Windows,
have sashes with glazing bars, flat gauged brick arches and stone sills.
Blind window with ogee arch at first floor level on east wall. North east
wing 2 windows. South east wing one window. Windows have casements with flat
gauged brick arches. 4 and 6 panel external doors with timber doorcases and
pentice boards on consoles. Hipped roofs,timber bracketed eaves and secret
gutters. Internal gault brick stacks. C19 interior intact. Geometric stair
with square balusters and wreathed hardwood handrail. 6 panel doors and
architraves. Marble direplaces with cast iron gates. Moulded plaster ceilings
with paterae.
